Tristin Morton prides herself in providing constructive and comprehensive feedback as a script consultant.
Tristin started her career in film and television in the development department of an independent production company, reading scripts and writing reports; and before that she majored in Creative Writing at the University of Victoria, where she was trained in how best to give constructive critique. She is a screenwriter, having worked in writers’ rooms as a story editor on three different series and is currently in development on a feature-length screenplay. Her experience makes her an observant and detail-oriented reader, with an approach to reports that is mindful and supportive of the artists involved.
Reader’s reports for feature-length screenplays are 5+ pages and include in-depth analysis that covers plot, structure, characters, action, dialogue, theme, tone, genre, audience, and other details.
Choose between a cold read or a 15-30-minute meeting (online or in person) prior to the reading. The inception and goals of the project can be valuable context for the evaluation.
With the completion of the reader’s report, Tristin offers a 60-minute meeting to discuss her analysis (via online or in person, depending on scheduling needs).
